Michele S. H. Henne

Judge Michele S.H. Henne was appointed to the General Division bench in July 2025.
Judge Henne graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2003, receiving her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Psychology. She received her J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2006. Judge Henne serves on the bench as Montgomery County’s first Asian American Judge.
Judge Henne brings years of legal experience to the bench, having served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Montgomery County for approximately 13 years. In May 2019, Judge Henne was appointed to the Criminal Division in the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Judge Henne is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the United States Supreme Court.
Judge Henne has been an active member of the legal community. She is an active member of the Dayton Bar Association, currently serving on the Certified Grievance Committee and the Bar Admissions Committee. Judge Henne is also a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court. She participates in the Sinclair Community College Criminal Justice Sciences Program Advisory Committee and is part of the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project Board. Additionally, Judge Henne serves as an attorney-mentor through the Ohio Supreme Court Lawyer to Lawyer Mentoring Program.
In addition to her contributions in the legal community, Judge Henne also actively participates in many community organizations. She has served many years as a Homeroom Parent and coached several of her children’s community sports teams. Judge Henne also volunteers as a tennis coach for the Oakwood Junior High Tennis Team. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Oakwood Junior High and High School Parent-Teacher Organization, Secretary of the Oakwood Fine Arts Boosters, and Secretary of the Wright Memorial Library Foundation Board.
